DIVHI aims at including people with mental disabilities in the workplace. The DIVHI platform can combine the interest of companies for CSR projects and people with mental disabilities who are looking for a job.
DIVHI believes in the promotion of individual skills that will be proposed to companies in order to find suitable jobs.
The platform will also include organizations that offer trainings for the mentally disabled in order to give a 360° degree service to individuals and families.
Step 1: Market analysis, study of competitors, feasibility study, measurement of companies in CSR projects and study on the organization of associations;
Step 2: Define the revenues model, pricing, cost structure;
Step 3: study on the creation of the profile and the variables to assess the disabled person and the definition of the algorithms;
Step 4: study and definition of the platform's processes and creation of information system;
Step 5: creation of the platform, in its first beta version;
Step 6: Improvement of the platform and the creation of the mobile application.
How does your innovation work?
Divhi is a web platform that connects three different realities:
The families in which there are people with intellectual disabilities, companies interested in the use of special people and all those organizations and associations whose activities focused on Asperger Syndrome, Autism and Down.
The carriers of one of these disabilities, by creating a personal profile on our platform, will be able to view and simultaneously evaluate the activities that associations offer them. When the individual has chosen and carried out the activity, its profile will be updated on new skills learned.
Associations, will be the body responsible for the training of people, and those who will evaluate and update the profile of the children according to their progress.
Companies, interested in the added value that these people can bring in the workforce, at this point, can use our algorithm to find the candidate that best meets their needs. In addition to the candidate, you will be accompanied by a supervisor chosen by the association that best knows him.
What Evidence do you have that your Innovation works?
The latest ISTAT surveys done in the time period 2004-2005 have been the starting point for the project.
The study found that only 1.5% of people with mental disabilities had a working employment and 63.4 was incapable of work, it remains a large segment that is able to work. Other surveys were carried out on other countries using the report published by OECD.
Do you have current users or testers?
No, we don't have any testers or users at the moment. There are organizations and privates interested in the projects. We have created also a list of possible users, of interested associations and companies
What is your strategy for expanding use of your innovation?
We want to make Divhi a standard for Italian families, a reference point for all those who must deal with intellectual disabilities. Divhi will begin to be operational in September 2017 in Turin and later will expand in northern Italy. For the first year we expect to have on the platform ten thousand users, four hundred associations and one hundred and fifty working projects
After five years Divhi will count to have thirty thousand of users, nine hundred of associations and six hundred of started projects with the companies.
This market, that we are investigating, is completly new, for this reason the scenario that we thought is a an estimation of the real numbers.
We expect to make Divhi become a standard in Italy for the families that they have a member with mental disabilities. After that, we want to focus on the schools, how could we help those people starting from the school? How could we change the mentality from early ages in order to create a more open society? What are the best activities to make them do? These are the questions that we want to develop and we want to find an answer.
